New UV Lacquer System For Mobile Car Body Repairs

In November 2008 Car Body Repairs 4 Less introduced a new UV lacquer system for all its mobile smart repairs which replaced its old 2 pack based Lacquer system.

The new UV lacquer based system was introduced earlier in the year, (like the new water based paint system) to comply with new legislation set out by the government on the use of chemicals in the environment. The new lacquer is VOC compliant, ISO certified, non isocyanate and gives a high gloss finish. Also the new UV lacquer system can be used in either damp or cold conditions making it ideal for smart repair use. With this new system the drying times are dramatically reduced by up to 50% compared to the previously used 2 pack lacquer. This new system gives a much better finish than some of the other conventional type's currently in use and is also highly environmentally friendly.

The UV Lacquer has been designed to be used over water based paints and can be cured in approximately 3 to 4 minutes. Once cured, the repaired area can be polished by hand or machine. The UV Lacquer is also resistant to solvents and can be jet washed or taken through a car wash straight after curing.
