Save on scratch repairs

Not all car scratches need to be sprayed, this is the more costly option for repair and it’s well worth exploring the other methods which might suit you better depending on your budget and expectations.
Reduce and touch in
This technique is the cheaper option and results can be quite surprising depending on the severity of the scratch. It involves using different liquids and compounds to reduce the scratch in layers and then touching in the remainder with the cars equivalent paint. This is a technique used predominantly within the trade sector on new and used cars going on the forecourt for sale. The lighter the scratch the more of it Thant can be removed and the better it will look. The general rule of thumb is that if you can click your finger nail in the scratch then the likelihood of it being removed 100% is slim.
This is where you would remove the scratch by filling it in with a primer filler then caring out a local area spray job.
